He came with a new album last year, but I have not given his new songs a listen until this weekend.

A sure sign that spring is right around the corner is that I will develop an urge to listen to deLillos.

I was at H&M with a friend here the other day, and as usual they were playing music over their sound system. And they played this song.

My friend typed down some of the lyrics on her phone, and thus she was able to find the song on youtube later that evening. So I've spent some time this weekend listning to this artist whom I had never heard of before.

I remember watching this on Youtube with a friend back in elementary school. Back then the Ylvis brothers were allready well known in Norway, But I don't think anyone had any idea about what kind of success they would end with now about a decade later.

This song still amuses me greatly :) I remember how me and my old school-friend watched it over and over. (just like how we watched Robin Hood:Men in Tights and Grease about once or twice a week)

There are certain songs you have to listen to during Christmas. And these are some of mine :)

I've never been a Jahn Teigen fan. Like most other norwegians I have heard many of his songs, but I have never actually really listened to his music.
However I have to say; I think "Utkledd som meg selv" is a great song! I could not find the original, as Youtube would not cooperate with me on that, but Tiril Heide Steen does a good job with it. :)

"Utkledd som meg selv" = "Dressed up as myself"

The refrain goes somethings like:

"I have tried to resemble others
But without much luck
Therefore I have begun
To be dressed up as myself"

I think that's worth remembering :)

As May is here (although the weather does not think so) it's very important to listen to this song ;)

This song popped into my head while I was on my way to work here the other day. I have not listened to it for ages. I can't claim to be a huge Beautiful South fan, and don't know much about the band, but I do like many of their songs. Such as Don't Marry Her, Manchester, Perfect 10, Little Time, Song For Whoever, Rotterdam, Dream A Little Dream and Prettiest Eyes.

I really like this one, Sail This Ship Alone, quite a lot. It's sad and melancholic, yet somehow strangely soothing to listen too. At least that's how I feel.

And the fangirly part of me might get some weird thoughts about some kind of fight between Sabeltann and Langemann..

Also!! All I had was a small part of the melody and the word "hagestoler" (garden chairs) and then use that word to find the song! I had not expected my search to be successful, but I got it!

A proper happy norwegian summer song :) (I'm almost sure Postgirobygget has some kind of monopoly on making norwegian summer songs)
