It's my mothers birthday tomorrow! But I will be working until 18:45 so we decided that we would have a small celebration today instead. :) We are going to an Indian restaurant, and then go back to my place an eat the brownie I just made. It smells really good, and I hope it will taste just as good too.

Other then that I have spent the day working on my new Asterix fic. Well Asterix himself will not be present, as the focus is on Cetautomatix and Ordralfabetix from Assurancetourix point of view. Things get a bit  accidentally voyeuristic. ;)

All taking place in the 1999 live action movie universe! Because I love to be specific like that, and I'm in love with the aesthetic of that movie.

Only to prove that I have the maturity of a 13 year old. 

I have not watched Asterix and Obelix vs Caesar in years! Out of the live action Asterix movies, I'll have to say Asterix and Obelix meet Cleopatra is my favorite, but this one is a close second! The plot is a bit messy at times (as I remember it) but what I really, really love with this move is the 'look' they gave it. Not to mention the soundtrack. Adapting a comic into live action is not always easy, and the way they did it in the first Asterix move worked beautifully if you ask me. I'm not sure if realistic is the right word to use here, but there is someting about the costumes that have a realistic look that I like a lot. :) Taking some inspiration from how gauls used to dress back then.

On a strange and shallow note, Unhygenix (the fishmonger) and Fulliautomatix (the readheaded blacksmith who accidentally got hit with the fish) are not that bad looking in this movie x3 With Fulliautomatix you can clearly see the similarity with his comic counterpart, but Unhygenix looks very different! The colour scheme of his clothing does not even match with his comic look, the only thing that is similar is the fact that he is blonde xD He does not even have braids!! Honestly I kind of ship those two x3 I imagine when they get drunk they will, depending on their mood, either start a fight, or get all emotional and talk about how they really are friends when it comes down to it, and how much they care about each other. And every now and then have dirty sexual encounters
