Askeladden- I Dovergubbens hall

I just watched this teaser trailer for a new norwegian movie called Askeladden- I Dovregubbens hall. I think it looks like it has potential. And It's really about time that they made some big action/adventure movie about Askeladden! He is after all one of our oldest folk tale characters, who has had many an adventure. Asbjørnsen and Moe spent a lot of time collecting as many folk tales as they could, and I do wonder how many times Askeladden have won the princess and half the kingdom xD

It looks like he has two friends/brothers with him in this movie, and I'm pretty sure they are Per and Pål, imdb at least lists a Per and a Pål in this movie. Askeladden is often called Espen Askeladden, and I do wonder if he has always been called Espen as well, even way back in the day, or if that is a more modern addition. Espen is after all a normal name, while Askeladden does mean "The ash lad" a nickname he got because he spent time tending to the hearth and poking at the ashes there.
